Case: stainless steel, diameter c. 35 mm
Movement: self-winding, decorated lever movement, calibre 215–1, micro rotor, 28 jewels
Dial: silver-coloured, date, central second
This model was introduced under the name ‘Polarouter’ in 1954. One year later, this was changed to the now familiar ‘Polerouter’. Watches such as the present one were intended for flights over the North Pole, which was linked to the serious problem of magnetism. For this reason, the watches were produced with anti-magnetic materials. Production was discontinued in 1969. The case back has been heavily reworked and the glass is cracked.
