silver, repoussé; hinged cover, the upper section with a flower bud and leaves; the medium-sized front with a female profile and floral tendrils; spout in the form of a snake’s open mouth, meandering handles; the snake motif continues over the middle side, with hammered decoration in the form of reptile skin; lower spout with stylised leaf motifs; handles with two isolation rings; the underside of the hinged cover marked with Diana’s head silver purity hallmark (800) and master’s mark (G? AS); signs of age and use; height 23.2 cm; weight: 778.4 g. (MP)
