(1847- 1925) - Memorandum, so-called Mayerling Protocol, handwriting probably of Hanna Vetsera, 151 pages, lined paper, first page inscribed: "Denkschrift Wien 1889 / als Manuscript gedruckt / Im Selbstverlage der Baronin Helene Vetsera", 16.5 x 11 cm, cover with adhesive label and inscribed "Hanna Vetsera für Gaby Tobis" (retraced with ballpoint pen), circa 1890, (Lu)

Unabridged handwritten manuscript, probably by Hanna Vetsera for Gaby Tobis.

Provenance:
Formerly Gaby Tobis, sister of Mary Vetsera’s confidante and piano teacher, Hermine Tobis. Baroness Helene Vetsera wrote an account of the Mayerling affair shortly after its tragic conclusion. The police confiscated the brochure printed in Vienna. The very rare manuscripts were distributed by Baroness Helene Vetsera among her close acquaintances.
