Two rare floor lamps, model Magna, designed by Prof. Heiko Bartels


in around 1999, for Classicon, adjustable, swivelling construction with translucent glass reflector, wooden handle, steel, wired for 1 light each. Dimensions of each lamp: height c. 160 cm. Without guarantee for electrical fitting. (MHA)

This design was created in collaboration with Harald Hullmann. Prof. Heiko Bartels was born in 1947. He studied at the Hochschule für Welthandel in Vienna and at the Werkkunstschule Krefeld. From 1975 onwards, he worked as a freelance designer for companies such as Alessi, ClassiCon, Thyssen-Krupp, BMW Motorsport Ltd, Seagram Germany, Matsushita Electric Works Osaka, and Olivetti. Until 2012, he was dean at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Heiko Bartels died in 2014.
