A unique console, designed and manufactured by Giovanni Minelli * - Design

in around 2010, sculptural fibreglass and resin structure with brick coloured pigments, lustrous surface. Dimensions: height c. 80 cm, width c. 140 cm, depth c. 38 cm. (MHA)

A unique item from the “Kernel” series.

The base is made using a sand mould, which is lost after the manufacturing process.Giovanni Minelli was born in Bergamo on 15 December 1976. He studied industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Initially, he explored the connection between art and industrial design by creating unique pieces and installations for contemporary art exhibitions. Together with other Italian designers, he was invited to participate in the project “The Italian design for Unicef”, which was organised on the occasion of the reopening of the design and art museum “La Triennale di Milano” in 2016. In his works, he combines his artistic beginnings with his acquired knowledge of industrial design and new findings from technology and research.
