Otto Prutscher (Vienna, 1880-1949), two chairs, model number 567, designed before 1908, executed by Gebrüder Thonet, Vienna - From the Schedlmayer Collection- Art Nouveau and 20th Century Applied Arts

beechwood, beech bentwood, brown-stained, with polished finish; replaced black leather covers, decorative nails and upholstery; the underside with old brand mark; signs of age and use; professionally restored; height: 101 cm, height of seat: 46.5 cm, width: 42.5 cm, depth: 49 cm. (MP) The original model was designed by Otto Prutscher for Café Heinrichhof (Opernring), in Vienna. It featured integrated spheres on both sides of the oval on the back rests. The later model went into series production without the aforementioned spheres.
