A dining room chandelier
for Otto Wagner’s “First Villa Wagner”, Hüttelbergstraße, Vienna, multiple-tier brass and bronze chandelier, two circular frames fitted with 20 and 16 lights respectively, elaborate ornamentation, originally built for gas lighting, parts of the fittings removed when fitted for electricity shortly before the turn of the century, height approx. 120 cm, diameter approx. 90 cm. It is worth mentioning that Wagner had used the same multiple-tier chandelier for the dining room of the Heckscher apartment.
In June 1886, Otto Wagner had obtained the building permit for his villa at No. 26 Hüttelbergstraße, which was completed in 1888. The Wagner family frequently used the place primarily as a summer residence until 1895.
