so-called Davenport, c. 1890/1900, brown stained hardwood frame on a runner-like base, front legs with naturalistically carved eagles holding rings in their beaks, elaborately carved with floral relief and openwork, hinged writing surface with 2 interior drawers and an extensible finial revealing a secret drawer built into the right side trough an ingenious spring mechanism - the secret drawer can be pulled out completely, turned and pulled forward, 4 interior drawers on the right side, upper section with 4 drawers and openwork finial, c. 125 x 64 x 70 cm, in well-maintained condition.
