light-bodied ceramic, with polychrome glazes; amphora shaped vase on low, retracted foot with polychrome painted floral decoration of grapevines and bellflowers, the opening rim with sculptural decor featuring two satyr heads bound in rich acanthus leaves connected by pearl band festoons; pearl band festoons with losses; chipped, professionally restored; the base more heavily chipped; the body with a horizontal pattern and a short vertical pattern of developing hairline cracks; on the underside indistinctly impressed signet; height 72 cm.
