porcelain, polychromed and gilt, mounted, on a round base decorated with acanthus leaves, bulbous body with sculptural ram’s heads as handle, openwork lid with sculptural flowers, the side with tendril cartouche featuring exquisitely painted courtly park scenes after Antoine Watteau, height 72 cm, underglaze blue sceptre mark, white form probably c. 1830, painting c. 1870 or later, minor chipping to the flowers and one ram’s horn, scuffed, (GO)
