This work is registered in the Archives Artistiques of Sylvie Buisson, Paris and will be included in the forthcoming vol. IV of the Catalogue Raisonné. This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity of Sylvie Buisson.

Note:
Important preparatory drawing for one of the 4 monumental frescoes “Combat I” dating from 1927. Foujita worked for almost a whole year on this project. The 4 frescoes were intended for the Japanese Pavilion of the City of Paris. The project was never realized. Following the Foujita estate, the Département de l’Éssonne acquired the drawing to preserve this heritage.
