An undergarment of the approximately 3-year-old Princess Elisabeth made of the finest silk in excellent quality and preservation. This is one of the very few pieces of clothing from the early childhood of the later Empress. An identical undergarment was offered in the latest auction of Imperial court memorabilia on 14 June 2022, under catalogue number 83. The latter item featured the embroidered monogram of the Duchess in Bavaria. Provenance: Empress Elisabeth of Austria, Archduchess Marie Valerie and heirs.
