"Die Schatztruhe (Aus Tausendundeiner Nacht)", 1917, preparatory sketch (pencil on thick wove paper) and the executed aquatint etching on copperplate printing paper with large margins, each with the estate stamp on the reverse, the etching signed Rich Teschner and inscribed with Erstdruck Nr. 3, additionally monogrammed and dated in the plate, image size of the drawing 24.4 x 21.7 cm, sheet size 33.3 x 24.7 cm, plate size of the etching 24.7 x 21.5 cm, sheet size 42.1 x 35 cm, the drawing with a few pin holes along margin, (2), (RAC)
A very interesting comparison of design and executed etching, with excellent print quality and in very good condition. The edition of the etching was published in Graphische Künsten Jahrgang 41 in 1918.
