Dimensions of each fence element: height c. 75 cm, width c. 75 cm, depth c. 8 cm, dimensions with pillar: height c. 102 cm, width c. 106 cm. The so-called Stadtbahn railings, also known as ‘sunflower railings’ (Sonnenblumengeländer), still characterise the cityscape of Vienna today. They can also be found at other urban railway stations of the former Habsburg monarchy such as Bohumin, Brno and Krakow.
