A rare armchair mod. AC.2, designed by Peter Wigglesworth,


1990, manufactured by Formatera 1993, Zurich/Switzerland, sculptural construction made of solid red elm, stamped: ‘Peter Wigglesworth’, dimensions: c. height 90 cm, width c. 60 cm, depth c. 45 cm. Slight signs of age and use, scratches and abrasions. (MHA)

This model was produced twice, once in plywood and once in solid wood. It is part of the concept „Tables and chairs in plywood and wood 1985-1992“. The premises out of which Peter Wigglesworth’s furniture developed have produced designs in which there is a direct correlation between function and space. The radical orthography of the planes upon which the functions take place and the spaces delineate or enclose define his works
