MAISON MILLET (1853-1918) was founded in 1853 by Theodore Millet. The company exclusively produced luxury furniture and gilt bronze objects of the highest quality, mainly furniture in 18th-century style. An increasing demand led Millet to outsource some of his orders to other renowned cabinet-makers. One of them was François Linke. Millet won a gold medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1889. Maison Millet was open as a producer until 1902 and, after the death of the founder in 1906, still as a store until 1918.
