An archaic pictorial carpet of the fine Caucasian group with a throne-like depiction (‘takht-e’) in the light blue central field enclosed by two trees of life with ascending dragons on a yellow-gold ground. Scorpions are lined up in the main border, the numerous secondary borders impressively display the design repertoire of this group. With partly trimmed pile, in original condition and good state of preservation for its age. (VP)
