Interesting extensive collection of postcards of the places where the valet-de-chambre accompanied Emperor Francis Joseph I. The collection thus provides a good overview of the Emperor’s travels in the years 1895-1913. He was in Monte Carlo on 14 March 1897, in St. Petersburg on 29 April 1897, in Bratislava on 16 May 1897, in Budapest on 17 May 1897, in Bruck a. L. on 15 June 1897, in Ischl on 2 July 1897, etc. Eugen Ketterl (1859 - 1928) was the last valet-de-chambre of Emperor Francis Joseph I, holding this office for over 22 years from 1894 until the Emperor’s death in 1916.
