Denmark c. 1800, type à deux corps, mahogany veneered hardwood and softwood frame in architectural basic form on turned feet, chest with 4 drawers featuring shield-shaped ivory fittings, the upper drawer designed as writing section containing the writing surface, gable-shaped cabinet with 9 drawers, featuring gallery decor, niche door with marbled pilasters at the angles, gilded Corinthian capitals terminating in a decorative sphere, both the frontside of the niche door and the surrounding drawers are decorated with pietra dura inlays on ebony veneered edges, c. 195 x 105 x 50 cm, well-kept condition.
