We are grateful to Ellis Dullaart for confirming the authenticity of the present paintings. Ms Dullaart will add them to the database of the RKD as authentic works by Saftleven. She compares them to two landscape paintings dated 1655, which were sold at Dobiaschofsky, Bern, on 6 May 2015 (as lot 352). Ms Dullaart dates the present paintings to the early 1650s.
