India: an Indian choker, cast from copper and silver-plated. Richly decorated.
A relatively heavy choker from Western India (Rajasthan). Cast from copper and silver-plated. It has curved bud ends, a rectangular middle piece and a ring-shaped structure on both sides. It is richly decorated and punched with circle and dot motifs and geometric decoration. There is some scuffing to the silver plating as a result of usage and age. Otherwise no damage.
Diameter: 11 cm x 13 cm (on the outside).
Between c. 1900 and the first third of the 20th century. (ME)
