Part of a frieze made of reddish sandstone. With three representations of the Hindu god Shiva, kneeling next to one another. Almost entirely crafted in three-dimensional relief, with Shiva’s ‘trident’, Brahmin string across the chest and with loincloth. Some pieces have broken off, however the figures are well preserved. There are the remains of another, attached row of figures below. Angkor Wat style (perhaps post-Bayon period).
Height: 25 cm; width: 31 cm; c. 12 cm thick. Style: Angkor Wat, 12th / 13th century. (ME)
