Tekke Turkmens, Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan: an older dress for a child, made of blue, red and green fabric, embroidered in red and white. With sewn-on ornamental silver plates and many, colourful tassels.
A small dress for a child from the Tekke Turkmens from the three-country crossroads of Turkmenistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Decorated on the front side with 8 smooth, drop shaped ornamental plates made of quality silver. Underneath that is a horizontal all-round row of metal ram motifs. The individual parts are made from chased good quality silver. Below are many colourful decorative tassels with small, white and black glass beads attached. On the back are ten smooth, drop-shaped decorative plates made of quality silver, as well as many colourful tassels (same as the front).
Dimensions: c. 46 cm x 46 cm.
