Austrian delivery, 34 years with the consignor!

Alfa Romeo introduced the "Montreal" design study, designed by Marcello Gandini, at the World Expo 1967 in Montreal. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from the public, the coupe was further developed using a throttled V8 engine from the Tipo 33 racing model and presented the car ready for series production in Geneva in 1970. From 1971 to 1977, 3,925 models of this Italian thoroughbred were built.

On April 12, 1974, this Montreal was licensed to the Neunkirchner Alfa dealer, Felix Woltron, for six months as a demonstration vehicle. Already in July 1982, the consignor acquired his dream car in the form of this Montreal. Because the Alfa already showed some signs of wear and tear back then, he made major repairs by hand the following year and repainted the car from its original green color to Rosso Alfa. For over 30 years the Montreal was his "partner in crime" at various classic car events. Accordingly, the consignor continuously made improvements to his Alfa, because in this respect, the manufacturer left plenty of room for improvement. In 2009, the Montreal received 4-piston calipers in the front, a new master brake cylinder, a new brake booster and regulator. For the chassis, the Eibach springs and Bilstein shock absorbers, together with an adjustable upper transverse control arm turned it into what it should have originally been: namely, athletic. A stainless steel exhaust system rounded off the work. In 2013, the Spica injection system was fully retreaded. Both inside and out, the Montreal shows slight traces of the years, but mechanically it is second to none. And that’s what counts for this car!
