A shorter, four-legged stool of the Mossi made of hard, light-coloured wood. With a head carved out from the same piece of wood, sporting a crested coiffure on a long neck used as a grip. The surface of the seat has fine geometrical lines incised in it as well as old, subsequently darkened decorative brass nails. A small loss to the edge of the seat’s surface. Otherwise no damage. Very good, old usage patina. Height: c. 9 cm (seat), 14.5 cm (head on the front); width: 16 cm; length: 37 cm. First half of the 20th century. (ME)
