In the years 1642 – 1688 Matthias Merian (1593 – 1650) and his followers were issuing a large twenty-one volume work entitled Theatrum Europaeum, that comprised also a volume dedicated to Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. Historical text for each individual location was written by Martin Zeiler (1589-1661). Condition: Rebound with a paper binding in the 19th century. The cover sheet was restored by adding the paper mass. A fold-out vista of Prague is missing from the appendices. The print is in very good condition.
