Outstanding and exceptionally rare miniature chest of drawers,
Vienna, 1st half of the 19th century, reflecting the fashion for the Egyptian style, a freestanding three-drawer chest clad in calf leather embossed to imitate crocodile skin, resting on bronze sphinxes, with columns at the angles, a lid compartment and two keys. 39 x 59 x 34 cm. In original condition with some heavy ageing, some losses, requires restoration. (PZ)
