the gentleman offering the seated lady a snuff box, the lady taking a pinch of snuff, he is holding his tricorn in his right hand and is wearing a hunting dagger, to his feet his hunting dog, the lady is wearing a black tricorn, black bow in her hair and green hunting jacket, in her right hand she holds a glove, porcelain, polychrome and gilt group, base with bright sculptural branches in flower, height 26.5 cm, length 25 cm, some restoration, Meissen, unglazed base unmarked, model by J. J. Kändler 1743, later paintwork (Ru)
