the gentleman in Roman dress embracing a seated shepherdess with his right hand, in his left he holds flowers, in her right hand the shepherdess holds a love letter, a carrier pigeon untying its pink ribbon, she leads his left hand towards her décolleté, between them his sniffing dog, to one side her sheep resting on the ground, to the reverse, tree in leaf and resting sheep, porcelain, polychrome and gilt group, some restoration, Meissen, underglaze blue sword mark to underside of base circa 1770, model by J. J. Kändler 1764-1766 (Ru)
