faïence, cylindrical body with contrasting lip to edge, inscribed to obverse, ‘A schlechtö Person, dö an Fischa veracht; Den Gott hat aus Fischern Aposteln gemacht. Ein berühmta Leut auch halta oft bis in da Früh, ist Mich. Lämmerer’, to the left polychrome-painted figural image with inscription above ‘Der berühmte Zieglmeister’, to the right, a fisherman with a net on the banks of a river with inscription above, ‘Der berühmte Fischermeister’, beneath the scroll of the handle dated 1849, incised cross to base, pewter cover and base ring, height 18/21 cm, slight chips to glaze of rim, (Hr)
