W. F. Adlmüller - An evening dress with sleeveless cloak,
Vienna, around 1970, peach-coloured duchesse, dress with elaborate and heavy glass bead embroidery on the ends of the sleeves and the hem, zip on the back at the side with hook fastener, length approx. 130 cm, cloak in front open, crimson silk lining, length approx. 140 cm, company label, good condition, minor parts of the embroidery missing, (HS)
Provenance: The owner was a frequent customer at Salon W. F. Adlmüller on Vienna's Kärtner Strasse and wore this set only once, on the occasion of a Vienna Opera Ball in Vienna. During this period, F. W. Adlmüller was heavily influenced by the works of Pierre Cardins and Pierre Balmains and in effect created the Viennese interpretation of French fashion.
