silver, hammered decoration, round shape, on the foot a contrasting, raised, grey patinated band with symbols, in the middle with raised female figures in a landscape with a setting sun, moon and stars; borders worked differently and chased; four round sconces with drip trays and spiral borders arranged in a quadrant, which are connected via the middle sconce; on the foot marked with master’s mark, 900, crescent and crown; height 37.3 cm, diameter 27.5 cm, weight: 1.675 g. In 1911 August Haarstick took over the "MetallwarenFabrik Phil. Haarstick" in Bremen and established contacts with the artistic community in Worpswede. The Art Deco candelabrum distinguishes itself through its extravagant stylistic pluralism. (MP)
