bronze, black patinated, on the black marble base marked M. Prost and Susse fres. Edit. Paris; slightly smudged, marble base with minor losses and a small crack; length 64.4 cm, width 10.7 cm, height 31.5 cm. The panther was exhibited for the first time at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Indépendants in 1928. (MP)
