Splendid Venetian console table with wall mirror,
2nd half of the 19th century. Partly carved and rendered in gesso, partly gold and polychrome painted in the form of drapery. The table element has a marbled top and drapery with trimmings; the mirror frame is decorated with 8 Venetian Moors. Table ca. 97 x 138 x 63 cm. Mirror 184 x 122 cm. Some ageing, wear and evidence of restoration. The paintwork flaked in parts, with parts loose. (PZ)
