Neo-Classical desk,
Originally circa 1770/80. A desk ‘a deux corps’ with marquetry ornament in walnut, yew and rosewood. The lower section has three drawers; the upper section has a fall- front writing surface and eight interior drawers, one of which with a concealed spring mechanism. 134.5 x 128.5 x 66.5 cm. Altered and with replacements resulting from restoration. Some ageing, the lock plates missing. (PZ)
