Condition: the original presses Renaissance binding is damaged, worn and in places repaired in an old-style, missing brass buckles on the binding, the content part is in good condition
The Greek bishop and church writer Eusebius of Caesarea (about 260-340) wrote ten books called Ecclesiastical Histories. His Historia provides a chronological basis for the events of the first four centuries of Christianity till 324. Eusebius considers Christianity as the highest form of denial of paganism and judaism. The Czech translation, co-authored by Adam of Veleslavín, was made by a member of his team Jan Kocín of Kocinét. The work is introduced by Veleslavín's patriotic preface with significant tolerance to other religions.
