1993/94, manufactured by Ernst Bigler, Oberdiessbach, Switzerland, 1994, for Adolf Muschg, seven laser-cut and grey varnished metal struts, matt lacquered birch plywood shelves, iron plates, height 234 cm, interior height 206 cm, diameter 195 cm, interior diameter 90 cm. (DRAX)

One of two “Libraries” designed for the Swiss writer Adolf Muschg. This model is identical to the first limited series of not more than 12 examples, realised over the years featuring different details.

This free-standing book tower, which can be filled with books from both sides, offers a total length of 42 metres of shelves and thus space for about 1,500 books. All parts are plugged together so that the construction can be disassembled easily.
