Early Baroque cabinet,
2nd half of the 17th century. As far as can be established, this is made in yew and pine, painted brown and decorated with pewter fillets and flame mouldings. The cabinet has a hinged flap with sham drawer mouldings, the interior more or less repeating the same configuration, with a nine-drawer burlwood-veneered fitted interior. 49 x 48.5 x 30 cm. Some ageing, parts loose, the lock in poor condition. Restored in the 19th century. (PZ)
