Qashqai bag half,
Southwest Persia (Iran), c. 52 x 53 cm, end of the 19th century, knotted facing side with striped, woven back part of a former khordjin of the Shishboluki tribe, bags with central, hooked diamond pattern levelled to the side, bird contours and analogous diamonds in the field edges, are among the standard repertoire of the Qashqai tribes, the present piece is of remarkable age and was produced in excellent quality, edge damage, the upper section reduced with missing fastening strap.
