Transition period circa 1770/80. An elegantly shaped tulipwood-veneered bookcase with panel and cube pattern marquetry in partly dyed fine woods, with gilt bronze applications, one door with later wire latticework and a bar lock, a fabric lined interior with three shelves and a marble top. On the back is a consignment or owner’s label in India ink with the words "Docteur Le mariee a ClementFerrant". 173 x 118 x 49 cm. Restored condition. (PZ)
