gold, diamonds, translucent blue enamel, guilloché surface, the reverse side bearing the engraved monogram "EF" and the date "1907-1917", Ø 2,1 mm, gross weight: 6,8 g, probably Firma Karl Fabergé, unmarked, (Lu)
Grand Duchess Elisabeth Fedorowna (1864-1918), wife of Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrowitsch, who was assassinated in 1905. The Grand Duchess was murdered in 1918 by the Bolsheviks, along with other members of the Romanov family, and is today venerated as a recent martyr and saint by the Russian Orthodox church.
