- until UCI (International Cycling Organisation) banned all bikes without a diamond frame
- the Y-Foils abreviated carbon monologue is very rigid in all the critical places

- the rider sits comfortably while the pedal force is translated through the inflexible part of the frame directly into speed
- most Y-Foils were used in triathlon competitions
- this version is equipped with Shimanos 25th Anniversary Set
