Vienna, c. 1955, solid rosewood, lime green fabric covering over original red velvet, height 92 cm, width 70 cm, depth 64 cm, height of seat 47 cm (DRAX)
The chairs and table offered here, as well as the large “Stella” lamp, come from a conference room, probably that at the Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG office headquarters at No. 7 Kärntner Ring, built by Carl Appel in 1955/56. The building, the so-called “Steyr House”, was damaged by fire in 1989 and was subsequently demolished.
Provenance: conference room of an office building in Vienna, probably the Steyr House, until the late 1980s
