Lit.: cf. Op-Art, exhibition catalogue, Schirn, Frankfurt 2007 – Günter Dohr. Die Farben des Lichts, exhibition catalogue, Museum Bochum, 2004 – Ch. Karasek, Immaterielle Farbräume, dissertation, Graz 2009
Günter Dohr’s exploration of light, space, and movement was entirely in line with the late 1960s’ psychedelic interpretation of the world and aimed at generating suggestive psychological and visual experiences intended to expand the mind. With his dynamic and technoid-like constellations of form and colour he was close to Op-Art, and his Cylindrograms were also presented at the big Op-Art exhibition at the Frankfurter Schirn in 2007.
