Grand chandelier,
Circa 1890/1900. Fitted with 39 electric lights. A bronze crown-shaped chandelier arranged on 2 tiers, with three main branches, each branch comprises cast figures of mermaids turned towards one another, each holding a 7-light candelabra, with rich floral scrolled decoration, the shaft modelled after the Regence style with drapery, hermes, and putti holding flaming bowls at the very top. Height ca. 210 cm, diameter ca. 145 cm. With new, professionally fitted electric wiring, cleaned and in restored condition. (DOC)
