France, Louis XVI period, circa 1780/90. Made in various softwoods and hardwoods, with walnut and tulipwood veneer, also with marquetry panels and ornament in various fine woods, the front supports stamped COURTE (Jean Baptiste COURTE, Meister 1777), 3 drawers, the lower 2 being “sans traverse”, bronze mounts with later gilding and a marble top. 92 x 130 x 60 cm.
