Tibet, c. 155 x 90 cm, about 1920, sitting rug with two parallel running leafy tendrils and hanging lotus flowers, with lightning flames emanating from the flowers, carpets such as the present one are often manufactured in two parts, nevertheless on the grounds of its finished pattern the present piece appears to be a single piece, good, soft pile condition, slight edge damage.
