cast and mounted, reddish brown stoneware, the exterior and interior covered with a semi-transparent greyish green mottled glaze over a dark brown slip glaze, light grey to brown areas to the interior rim of the spout, wickerwork handle (replaced), the cover replaced around 1990 by Ulike Könecke, Otto Lindig’s granddaughter, height 11.7 cm. continuous private ownership, Germany – purchased by the grandfather from Theodor Bogler and Otto Lindig.

Theodor Bogler joined the ceramic workshop of the Bauhaus Dornburg in 1920, where he created experimental ceramic works together with his brother-in-law, Otto Lindig. In 1923 he developed first designs for prototypes that were to be produced in series.
