Eket, Nigeria: A small, round mask or application.
A small, typical, circular mask of the Eket, from Southeast Nigeria. Possibly also used as an application on a headdress or on a robe. Made of lightweight, brown wood, dyed black. With very old, shiny usage patina and minor age-related damage (a fastening hole broken as a result of age). First third of the 20th century; DM: 14 cm. (ME)
