The Master of Saint Ivo is a follower of Agnolo Gaddi and was identified for the first time in 1975 by M. Boskovits. Boskovits describes him as a painter specialised in devotional panels whose works reflect contemporary tendencies. He was influenced by Agnolo Gaddi, Mariotto di Nardo, and Lorenzo di Niccolò.
Typical features of the works by the Master of Saint Ivo are the Madonna’s narrow, elongated eyes, her delicate lips and slender hands, as well as the high brow of the Child.
